  • Full Size, Solid Sitka Spruce/Indian Rosewood, maple binding, abalone and pearl inlay.
  • Fishman AURA Sound Imaging system (highest rated in the USA)
  • Our deepest, richest sounding guitar…15% more power than our 80 Series.
  • Buyers of the 900 are coming from Martin D45, Taylor 9, Gibson Hummingbird

If you demand the best this is it.  When we have a customer come into the shop with a $5000 acoustic who’s looking for that type of quality and sound but with easier playability, the 900 is the only guitar we go to.  Unlike our 20 and 50 Series guitars Denny uses a special bracing system on the 900 that allows the face to move half a millimeter more giving it more projection and power.   When you hit a string on the 900 you feel it resonate through your gut.  There’s very few guitars today that can do this, especially new guitars, and when you find one it’s usually the price of a small car. Read more

Zager Pro Series guitars play a little easier and sound a little more powerful than our regular series instruments.   The woods are aged longer.  The finish is applied thinner so the sound board moves half a millimeter more when the strings are hit providing a deeper bass response.  Each piece of abalone and pearl is laid by hand in combination with gold Grover tuners that pop to the eye.  Most customers buying our 900 Series are touring artists and veteran musicians coming from high level Martin, Taylor, Santa Cruz and Gibson.  Denny did extensive testing in designing the 900 and sent it to veteran players and artists around the world who put it up against the finest guitars made. Pros say the 900 outperforms guitars at twice its price point (sometimes more), but playability is easier and price is less than half since you’re buying direct from our workshop in Lincoln, Nebraska versus retail stores.

Denny wanted only the finest electronics system for the 900 series so he called Bob Fishman at world renowned “Fishman Transducers.” Fishman’s new Aura Digital Sound Imaging System allows you to download thousands of sound images directly from the Fishman online library that have been professionally mixed in Fishmans multi-million dollar recording studios. You can select from images mixed specifically for your Zager as well as thousands of others depending on the sound you’re looking for. Denny used to spend countless hours in studio time dialing in the perfect sound for his guitars. Fishman’s Aura Image Gallery Software (included) does this for you by allowing you to select from thousands of images in their online library that will give you the sound you want no matter what you’re looking for and downloading them onto your guitar via USB cable. Read the reviews, talk to the pros, and you will see this system dominates every guitar electronics package on the market today.

Be sure to read artist comments and magazine reviews on the 900 as it consistently rates in the top 5% of acoustics made world wide. 100% money back guarantee including shipping fees both ways. It’s a lifetime instrument so it comes with a lifetime warranty.  Truly a work of art with a stunning sound that will get better year after year.

Venetian Cutaway Style
A "Venetian Cutaway" is a guitar that has a section of the body "cut away" by the neck which makes it easier to slide your hand down low to reach chords near the sound hole. Denny braces the cutaways a little differently then his full box guitars so sound quality matches. If you’re a player that spends a lot of time on that part of the neck a cutaway box is invaluable.
guitar top 900 spruce
Grade A Sitka Spruce Top Top
Sitka which is known for its strength and durability comes from the Northern coast of British Columbia up into Alaska. It tends to have a warm pinkish/tan hue to it. Spruce offers a tight, punchy low end response with great projection. Players who demand a powerful sound with tons of projection will hear the benefit of a Sitka spruce top. Used on only the highest quality acoustic guitars in the world.

guitar back sides rosewood
Indian Rosewood 900CE Back-sides
One of the most popular and traditional guitar woods of all time. Where mahogany lends itself to the midrange, rosewoods sonic profile is deeper in the low end. Not to take anything away from mahogany as many players will find it difficult to tell them apart, but the dedicated ear will notice a deeper, richer, sweeter tone coming from a rosewood guitar.
binding maple
Hand Bent Figured Maple Binding
Figured Maple binding is not only beautiful to look at but it also protects your guitar from bumps and nicks in daily use. Found generally on guitars exceeding the $2000+ price point.
inlay neck
Mahogany with Inlay Neck
Mahogany—one of the most popular tone woods used on acoustic guitars for the last 50 years. Complete with hand laid contrast inlay.
indian rosewood headstock
Indian Rosewood Headstock
Indian rosewood is commonly found on high-end guitars. This wood is heavier and more dense than mahogany and also is very stable and resonant. East Indian Rosewood is dark brown with sometimes purple-brown streaks giving a pleasant figure. The guitar head stock configuration is a registered trademark and is used under license from C.F. Martin & Co. Inc. of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA.
guitar brace work
Zager Design (Hand Scalloped) Bracework
The technique of scalloping or shaving the braces can have a huge impact on the power and tone of an acoustic guitar. By shaving or reducing the thickness of the brace, it becomes more flexible and therefore lets the top move more freely. When done by a Master Luthier the brace maintains its structural integrity, while making the top more efficient. The result is faster attack, longer sustain, more bass, more power, and an overall improvement in the whole tone system.
guitar inlay
Full Abalone Inlay Inlay
Abalone inlay is found on only the highest quality guitars. Laid by hand one piece at a time, the color and translucence of each piece changes with different amounts of light. Not only does it add to the overall look of your guitar, but it also adds to the value. Our 900 Pro Series guitars have an inlay rosette around the sound hole in combination with inlay around the entire face as well as small cross fret markers going up the fret board
guitar fret crosses
Pearl Cross Fret-markers
Used on only the highest quality guitars. Laid by hand on the fret board one piece at a time. It's a very tedious, time consuming process but the results are breathtaking
zipper mahogany
Figured Maple Inlay Back-detail
This accent matches the guitars figured binding and abalone inlay perfectly to give it that extra expensive look of a pro series guitar. Laid by hand one piece at a time. Adds to the overall beauty and sets off the color of the wood. Found on only the highest quality guitars in the world.
high gloss finish
High Gloss Finish
High-gloss finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age—which is what makes a guitar sound better year after year. A thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration and blocks aging.
guitar truss
Custom Adjustment Setting Truss-rod
Denny designs his guitars with a truss rod adjustment setting that allows you to dial in your guitar to your particular playing style. In this way if you're a heavy handed player you can set the action higher so you can "get on it" a little for more power, and if you're lighter handed touch player you can dial in the action low so you can move faster and play longer with less fatigue.
zager aura guitar
2023 Fishman Aura Pro Electronics
Denny wanted only the finest electronics system for the 900 series so he called Larry Fishman at world renowned "Fishman Transducers." Fishman's new Aura digital imaging system allows you to plug into your computer and download hundreds of sound images that have been professionally mixed in Fishmans pro recording studios. You can select from images mixed specifically for your Zager, or hundreds of others depending on the sound you’re looking for. Denny used to spend countless hours in studio time dialing in the perfect sound for his guitars. Fishmans new imaging system does this for you by allowing you to select from images online that will give you the sound you want no matter what you're looking for. Read the reviews, talk to the pros, and you will see this system dominates every guitar electronics package on the market today.
zager aura guitar
Genuine Fishman Aura Built-in-automatic-tuner
Ask any pro who makes the finest guitar electronics systems in the world and 9 out of 10 will say Fishman. An electronic tuner allows you to tune your guitar in a fraction of the time it takes using conventional tuning methods. Simply hit a string and the LCD indicator guides you into perfect pitch. A red and green light instantly lets you know when the tune is dead on. This is a very important tool for the new player who is trying to develop and train their ear for perfect pitch. It's also helps the professional player who wants to get in perfect tune fast.
zager aura guitar
Genuine Fishman Aura Built-in-equalizer
Fishman equalizers are the highest quality equalizers used in acoustic guitars today. The equalizer is an electronic unit that controls the sound and volume when plugged into an amplifier or PA system. There are adjustments for highs, mids, lows, and presence. Fishman EQ's are used exclusively on high end acoustics by artists such as Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Alan Jackson and Aerosmith to name just a few
guitar grover gears gold
Genuine Grover (gold) Tuning-machines
Genuine Grover sealed tuning machines are found on only the finest guitars made. Look at tuners on $2500+ acoustics and you will see the majority have "Grovers." Unlike open gear tuners where the tuning mechanism is exposed, Grover sealed tuners contain a lubricant that keep the tuning mechanism sealed air-tight so the gears turn smooth and continue to for the life of your instrument. Lifetime warranty. If you have a tuner go bad we'll replace it free of charge for life.
guitar nut
Bone Hand Carved Nut
Denny hand carves his nuts from bone for each guitar so the strings are set lower with custom spacing. Lower string heights make it easier to press down to form chords and it also increases finger speed. Custom spacing allows you to move faster with less buzzes, mutes, and rattles because you’re no longer bumping adjacent strings. Custom string spacing makes it easier for all hands sizes big and small. Lifetime warranty. Break a nut and we'll replace it free of charge for life
guitar saddle
Tusq Hand Carved Saddle
Denny hand carves each saddle for each individual guitar. Denny also adjusts the intonation settings to bring the guitar harmonically in balance with itself. This not only makes your guitar easier to play, but it also makes it sound more powerful. Customers say our guitars fall into tune easier and stay in tune longer...this is one of the reasons why. Denny uses only genuine "Tusq" brand saddles on his guitars which you generally only find on higher dollar acoustics . Lifetime warranty. Break a saddle and we'll replace it free of charge for life.
zager ez play guitars
Zager Custom Lights Strings
Zager custom strings are designed by Denny exclusively for his Guitars. We have customers using all brands and gauges of strings on our guitars with excellent results (Elixir, Martin, Fender, Gibson, D'addario) but these are the strings our customers seem to like the most on our guitars. Hand wound daily in our shop in Lincoln, Nebraska.
frets
Zager Soft Touch (Hand Filed) Frets
Denny hand files each fret one at a time on every guitar that leaves our shop. By filing the frets Denny achieves two important things. When sliding up and down the neck your fingers will no longer get irritated and sore and you won't suffer from what we call "String Bite" and overall finger fatigue. Secondly, when you file the frets by hand each fret will have the same uniform height. 9 times out of 10 when you have a buzzing string it has nothing to with your playing, it’s because you have a guitar with a fret that’s sitting away from the fret board hitting a string.
life time warranty
Lifetime Warranty
Our warranty is simple. Lifetime on all guitars. A quality guitar should be made to last a lifetime and if it doesn't it wasn't a quality guitar to begin with.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Comparable to the best I have played in a combination of fidelity and ease of play. My old guitar is a Guild acoustic/electric and doesn't have near the playability or sound of my Zager.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
My favorite part is the neck/fretboard. Excellent action and crafted for ease of play.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$2,500

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent customer support. All questions have been promptly and accurately answered.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely! In fact I have already "spread the word" by encouraging my guitar playing friend to check out the web site. I will only recommend a product I believe in and trust.

Additional comments:
I have played for quite a few years and actually put down my guitar for most of the past 10 years. I work in a high stress enviromnet and considered that picking up the guitar and playing again could provide some needed relaxation. I was not satisfied with the sound and action of my old guitar and began researching the internet for alternatives that wouldn't break the bank. The result was my purchase of a ZAD-80CE which has everything I was looking for in a guitar with the added bonus of excellent craftsmanship at a reasonable price. I am a proud owner and am enjoying playing as never before.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It beats my Yamaha hands down for ease of playing and sound quality.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's playability.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$600

How would you rate customer support?
Customer support is unparalleled. Several years after I bought the guitar the nut broke when a home repairman knocked the guitar off its stand. Zager told me how to remove it and send it in to them. They custom made a new one for free and had it back to me in a matter of days. You can't get better customer support period.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely! A great guitar at a fair price, and the best customer service around. Once you buy a guitar from them you are part of their family and they will take care of you.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have owned Takamine, Gibson, Martin, Yamaha,Ovation and Seagulls along with a few others. The playability of this guitar beats all others I have owned. I bought a Zad50CE a couple of years ago, and found myself picking it up and leaving the others. (the others were a Martin and Seagull) I recently bought a Zad80CE and found it to be of such superior quality that I am selling everything else, and moving only to Zagers

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
This is a toss up. Playability, or sound. They are clear, bright and the sustain is second to none.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would expect the price of the 80CE to be in the $1700-$2300 range

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent, I have sent emails that were responded to within minutes.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Without a doubt, Save yourself a lot of pain, both in the wallet and with your fingers!

Additional comments:
My Zad50CE is destined to be the road guitar, as I travel a lot and enjoy taking a guitar with me. They are both beautiful guitars. When I took a 50CE to a shop to show a friend, everyone there wanted a little time on it. I wouldn't recommend anything else for any level of player.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
i have some excellent, great-sounding guitars, but no expensive big name ones except maybe my older McPherson, which i bought at a bargain price on ebay, but my Zager 80ce-om has a fuller, sweeter deeper sound and it does it much easier than the others. it has a fuller resonance than my other guitars even tho it's a somewhat smaller orchestra model. it's a beautiful, friendly-sized guitar with a big guitar sound!

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
the sweet, mellow tone is absolutely fantastic! and it projects its full deep round sound so easily! the tones are complete and clear and so easy to achieve that my 80ce-om makes me want to pick it up and pick it! the woods are top grade tone woods, put together and trimmed to perfection! it plays so beautifully unplugged that plugging it in and taking advantage of the great Fishman electronics is almost an afterthought! a great guitar should be great plugged or unplugged, and my Zager 80ce-om is great all around All-American guitar!!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
i would guess at least $2,000-$3,000. i've played big name, big reputation, big buck guitars in stores and i wouldn't trade my Zager 80ce-om for any of them even money! if the price were based on sound and playability my Zager would cost many times what i payed for it new from Denny Zager!

How would you rate customer support?
so far, with the contact i've had with Zager & co. i would rate them at the top of my guitar-buying experience! they answer emails promptly and friendly and with caring understanding and reasonable accomodation. i don't anticipate having any guitar issues to bother them with, given the high-quality of their guitars, but if i did i know they'd help me out to the max!

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
i absolutely reccomend Zager E-Z play guitars to every player i know, and especially my 80ce-om! it's the perfect sounding, perfect playing, perfect sized and best looking guitar around! and for the direct-buy price from from Zager it's a world-beater!!

Additional comments:
i thank Denny and Dennis Zager for their music lovers development and perfecting of the good ol' flattop guitar, and their company integrity in marketing them. long may they prosper!! thanks again, mike

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This is the only accoustic I have ever played that did not kill my fingers after a few minutes. It came in around 1PM today and I played it for 3 hours. Then I called one of my buddies over tonight and we played it for another 2 hours and my fingers are still good for more.. I normally play a Gretsch Country Classic that frets like a dream so my fingers are not real tough, and after several hours on the Zager my fingers are still good. Great Guitar and the other folks In the Band will get a chance to try it out in 2 days. Get ready for more orders from some of them. I picked on a new Martin one of the girls bought 2 weeks ago for about 10 mins. and my fingers started barking so this girl id in for a surprise when she plays my Zager.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
How easy it is on my fingers and the great sound. Plus it is beautiful and crafted to perfection

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I played a $3500 Martin 2 weeks ago and I would not even think of trading my Zager for the Martin. If I didn't know the price and just went by the sound, craftsmanship and ease of play I would Guess over $3000

How would you rate customer support?
Customer support is Great, Response to calls and service is almost immediate

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I alredy have and will continue to . I love this Guitar and especially its ease on my fingers and still with that great sound and finish. The folks in my Band will be ordering Zagers after they get a chance to play it.

Additional comments:
I love my Gretsch 6122a Country Classic but...My Zager completes the whole package. Now I have the best of both sounds with these two and won't be buying another guitar

Model: ZAD-80 OM

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have owned and played both Yamaha and Martin guitars and, while I truly love the sound I get from each - they are very different - the Zager really is an easier guitar to play. The sound is good - comparable to my Martin but the Zager tune allows me to play much longer. I also find that this guitar looks great.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I like the way it looks and sounds.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$2000+

How would you rate customer support?
This is where the company shines in my estimation. I bought a guitar and was told there were blemishes - and I got a discount. When I received it I loved the way it sounded but the blemish bothered me. My wife teased me because it clearly didn't effect the sound at all, just my sense of perfection. I emailed the company and, within a day, they had sent a replacement - which is perfect. I did pay a slight difference in price - which I should have paid in the beginning - but the company picked up shipping and even sent me a second T Shirt. Truly they went above and beyond in every aspect of the customer experience.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I'm one of those people that drives the music store crazy. I look and play and look and play before I buy. In my experience this guitar meets the high expectations the web site builds - it sounds better and plays much, much better than the price would indicate. It is beautiful too!

Additional comments:
Customer service is king these days and Zager exceeded all of my expectations in resolving a problem of my own making - Thanks!

Model: ZAD-80CE

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have a friend with a $4000 Martin bought about 10 years ago that doesn't look as good as my ZAD80CE. I like the sound of my ZAD80CE (bought in 5006) just as much as his Martin and the ZAD was only one fourth the price. I can't tell any difference in sound except that the Martin plays a little louder with the thicker strings my friend uses on it. I can not justify $3000 more for a guitar that sounds the same. And, the Martin has the much sought after Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Again, the playability of the ZAD is superior and I can't tell any difference in tone. That makes the ZAGER a better deal in my book.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Ease of playing, the sound, the fit and finish in that order.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$2500 - $3500 new at a retail guitar store

How would you rate customer support?
I can't say enough good things about Zager service. Doing business with ZAGER GUITARS is a pleasure. Outstanding fast support and courtesy is what you get with ZAGER. They have shown me repeatedly that they honor the 100% return policy that is stated in the website. True story - The first guitar I received in 5006 had a slight flaw on the finish that I believe happened in shipping. I contacted Dennis Jr and he immediately responded without question providing me with a return prepaid shipping label and said to keep the extra goodies that came with the guitar (shirt, strings, pictures, picks, etc). He immediately sent a replacement guitar that I have to say is truly beautiful. The grain direction, the finish, the setup are all perfect! I love this guitar! And another set of goodies came with it! I play a lot in my shop which is quite a bit colder than my house. I did not want to keep exposing the ZAD80CE (a full size) to the temperature fluctuations going in and out of the house so I decided that I wanted a second guitar to just keep in the house. I ordered a second, smaller guitar from Zager, a Parlor Mahogony. When it arrived (in just 5 days from Nebraska to Seattle) I found that I did not like the shortened neck that is standard on the Parlor/Travel series. I contacted Dennis Jr and once again, he immediately responded without question providing me with a return prepaid shipping label and again said to keep the extra goodies that came with it. I asked Dennis to replace the Parlor with a ZAD80CEOM Orchestra Model. Dennis sent the more expensive replacement out before I even posted the Parlor back to him. The OM is on it's way to me now and the Parlor is just going to UPS today! Really, that's good service. No questions asked. Just answers. Well done ZAGER GUITARS!

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Already have recommended it, repeatedly. It is the best value that I have found for a guitar. One guy I recommended to bought a ZAD50CE based on the recommendation. He has many guitars and the ZAGER is one of his favorites because of the playability. The "string science" setup is the frosting on top of the cake and finishes making my ZAD80CE the superb instument that it is. Playability of this guitar can not be surpassed without an experienced luthier doing a lot of work. That PROFESSIONAL setup is standard and comes included with the ZAGER.

Additional comments:
A BIG sincere THANKS to ZAGER for their honesty, speedy service, and for such a fine product at a very fair price!

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It is easier to play, and sounds great. I have a guitar that I bought many years ago, which doesn't play as easy.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The playability, fit and finish is excelant, and it's pretty too.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would guess about 995.00. I was looking at Martins on the internet, and their low end was under 2000.00.

How would you rate customer support?
Good, so far I haven't needed much.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes and I have already done that several times. I gave your web to several people, but I don't know if it has helped you.

Additional comments:
Everone that has seen my guitar likes the look of ir. I play with a group at Veterans Home, nursing home, and our Jackson Senior center about 6 times per month.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
My other guitar is a Fender 12 string I purchased in the mid 1980's and is a fine guitar but when I developed arthuritis in my left thumb I could only play it a little and then not at all. The other acoustic guitars I tried in the shops didn't have the neck I was looking for so I went on line and came accross the Zager guitars. I had nothing to loose so I ordered one. When I took it from the box and tuned it it took a few minuites and I was playing again. The neck reminded me of my Old Fender Mustang from the 60's with a good fast action. The Zager has the neck I was looking for.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The smooth action of the neck and the sound resonance

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
around $1500.00

How would you rate customer support?
Excelent

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I recomend this guitar because it is everything that it was said to be and more. I told a friend about it and he bought one too.

Additional comments:
The Zager family needs to cary on the tradition and don't pay attention to what the critics say. They must not have been there.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Like night and day, compared to my previous guitar. The tone and playability are equal or superior to almost any I have tried in stores. This is a great guitar at any price point!

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Playability would have to be the most endearing feature. Although, the sound and great looks are top notch.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$1500-$2000

How would you rate customer support?
A+

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I have, and others have purchased as well. The way Zagers do business, it's a no-lose proposition.

Additional comments:
I may never need another guitar, but if I do, it will most assuredly be from Zager Guitar.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I own a 30 year old Japanese Dixon, and have owned a vintage Kay. Also have tried out many guitars of every brand in my search to get the right guitar. I was looking at top of the line Martins, ovations, Gibson, etc. New and vintage models and the prices ranged from 2,400 to several thousand dollars. I can honestly say that there was not a single guitar I tried that played any easier or sounded better than my Zager.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Parts. I cannot pick just one, its playability is first, second is the sound, and on top of it all it is absolutly beautiful. It also helps that everyone that sees and plays it turns green with envy.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
4,500.00

How would you rate customer support?
Unbelievable. I have never dealt with any company who not only is as customer minded but is as personally involved as Zager guitars. I could not be happier and tell everyone about the care, and attention that was paid to my questions and purchase. Not only before the sale but after.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutly!!! There is not a better guitar for the money anywhere and the customer relations are fabulous.

Additional comments:
I spend time everyday playing my guitar. Not only is it very relaxing but it sounds amazing and I can play for hours without it hurting my hands. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world for having found the link to Denny's site and making one of his guitar's mine. I had never seen or played one of his guitars, and am a firm believer in the old addage if it sounds to good to be true it probably is, but there were so many great reviews of his guitars I took the chance and boy am I glad I did. I am saving now to get the ZAD 900CE and I can hardly wait!

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
The action is superb, comparable with that on my Gibson Les Paul (I'd have to be honest if pressed and state that the Les Paul's action is better, but not by much, and then, it would also be many times more expensive to buy new). The tone is more pleasant, mellow yet bright, than my old guitar

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The action! Barre chords are easy now!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Pass - I have no idea about guitar prices, since I don't shop for them often. I feel the price I paid for this guitar was very reasonable, though

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent: I made a typo in my mailing address, and there was a mixup on the courier's part, which customer support alerted me to and put right immediately. As this was a Christmas gift, and in the 7 days before Christmas, I was very grateful they took so much time to ensure the guitar arrived where it should

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes I would, for tone, playability, looks (it's gorgeous!) and affordability

Additional comments:
Pity Zager don't ship overseas. Plenty of people would understand there's an extra cost and be willing to pay it, I'm sure.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have an Ovation that I have had for over 30 years, a Martin that I have had for over 45 years, and a 3/4 size guitar from Fender. I just bought a Zager trevel model, that is the exact same size as the small fender. I have been looking for another small guitar to travel with and at the same time did not want to sacrifice tone quality. I liked the small Fender, but it lacked a lot in tone quality and finish. To my surprise, the travel Zager guitar beat the tone, finsh and string spacing on the Fender and Ovation. Trying to compare with the old Martin is not a good comparison as it it was made in 1913 and has a number of major cracks in it. I have owned a slew of various guitars over the years including Washburn, Gibson, and other Fender models. I have to say this little travel Zager is going to be a keeper.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Tone and string spacing.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
From just the finish it would certainly appear to be a guitar that would be a lot more than the current price...by at least several hundred dollars.

How would you rate customer support?
Jill was quick to answer all the questins I had and keep me up to date on shipping etc...first class.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
YES...its really hard to find a well made product these days at a fair price....

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This guitar is a work of art! I have never picked up a guitar that has the incredible clear, deep sound as my ZAD50CE.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The sound, the beauty, built in tuner, and especially the easy action. I have never been able to bar chords, until I got this Zager!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Much higher than I paid for it. $1500 to $3000.

How would you rate customer support?
Exceptional. I have never worked with any company that is as people friendly and eager to answer your questions as Zager. It doesn't even feel like a company, but more like family.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Oh, yes. I teach a guitar class and I am sure when my students see, hear, and play this guitar there will be more orders coming your way.

Additional comments:
I cannot image what would happen if other companies ran the way Zager does. We wouldn't be in the economic crisis that we are. You should send you business structure to the White House! Thank you Denny for a fantastic guitar. It is literally a work of art. And thank you Dennis for you incredible time and patience with my questions. I will continue to be in contact; probably take some lessons; and definitely be singing praises for you, your guitar, and company.
