How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It looks and plays a lot like my old Taylor cutaway except the tone is brighter and it's easier to play.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Probably playability. It plays as easily on the twelfth fret as the first. It looks good, sounds good, and plays great.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
At least twice what I paid for it.

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Oh yes. Already have.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I really like it, the sound is as good as my high end taylor and martin. The ease of play is phenomenal.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The ease of play, I have had it for 4 days and it is fast becoming my favorite guitar and I own a Taylor 816, Taylor 716, Martin and a Breedlove j350 Ef studio.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Between $1500-$2500

How would you rate customer support?
Customer support was and is top notch, they responded quickly and accurately .

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes, I plan on buying another.

No comparison. This baby is sooo much better. Not even in the same league as my old one.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Everything. Beautiful workmanship, full sound, great pickup and electronics, excellent intonation, holds tuning even under extreme playing.

$1500

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have not played for many years and divested of the guitars i have had for lack of playing them - fine guitars should be played and not sit in a case. I have had a Martin (D28) and a Taylor (800 series if i recall). Both were quite expensive instruments. In my view, my 50CE plays and sounds equal to my ear so I am very very pleased given I'd set a budget to get something good under $1000.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I think Dennis Sr has great skill in construction of his instruments if mine is an example. It is finely finished and put together very well. It looks like a much more expensive instrument than what I paid. I also like the cutaway design (first time I've had onw). Also like the Fishman electronics, especially the tuner part - makes things real easy.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I told Dennis Jr when I advised him that my guitar had arrived that it looked and played like one that would be AT LEAST double in a retail setting - so that would be $1500 +

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent! Dennis Jr was terrific in answering all my questions and arranged shipment for me in a tight window (I am from Canada but had the guitar shipped ot a hotel I was staying at while on a golf vacation). It all worked out perfectly. And Dennis' responsiveness is next to none. Dennis do you sleep with you computer? (lol)

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely! And I suspect this would be true for any of Denny's models given now having mine. I think the fact that the Wager company has gone direct is helpful to those, like me, wanting a fine guitar at a very good price by not paying for middlemen and retail markups. Nice job Wagers!

Additional comments:
Now that I've done business with Wager i would want to tell others that you can trust these folks. I was legitimately skeptical buying sight unseen. But I decided to give it a try as Dennis was very forthright in dealing with me. I am very pleased with the whole transaction. On doing some research before ordering, i did find, as is the case in the internet world, some negative comments. Baed on my experience, i find these comments quite unfair frankly and suggest they be ignored if you want a very nice quitar, well made, great sounding, for a reasonable price -- great value for the money. The only thing i am not sure about is the 'EZ play" aspect. My guitar plays just fine but my memory bank tells me that it may not be too different from my old guitars, both of which were professionally set up. I suspect this is a personal "feel" or judgement thing and there is an art to good set up and folks like different things. This is not a negative at all as I think anyone purchasing a Zager guitar will find the set up Denny offers quite acceptable (out of the box!!)

My friend was over when I received my guitar and I don't think I have to recommend a guitar. She heard it and loves it and will buy her own soon.

There is no comparison among the Zager and my current acoustic guitars. In stores, only the high-end guitars compare with the Zager.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
My favorite part of my new Zager is the ease of playing which lets me play longer with no soreness in my fingers.

$1000+

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent - zero complaints and Denny is highly responsive to my inquiries. He even responded almost immediately to an email I sent on Sunday.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would definitely recommend Zager guitars to anyone because you receive a high-quality guitar at an affordable price.

Additional comments:
Since Zager guitars are not widely available commercially (i.e. guitar stores, etc.), my Zager guitar seems like one of a limited number and will become more valuable over the years.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I've played a lot of guitars... been singing and writing for over 40 years. I've owned Matrins, Guilds, and Ovations, and played a few of the high-dollar Larrivees... the Zager 50ce sounds every bit as good, and played much better than any of them. The only guitar that even comes close is a friends $4000 Martin; close, but not cigar.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Picking a favorite is hard; I've always been about tone, and the tone is superior, with a huge dynamic range from finger-picking to full on, booming strums; even chords that are strummed forcefully are clear as a bell and ring like a grand piano. It's amazing to me, that a guitar that plays so easily could be as loud and dynamic;

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I'd estimate it at $1500 - $2000, and that's conservative; I've put it head to head with some guitars in that range, and the Zager was the clear winner.

How would you rate customer support?
In my day job, I work in a call center; we're the only telecom company to have won the JD Power award 4 years in a row; I know and expect customer service, and Zager never disappoints; they have, hands down, the best customer service I've ever seen.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would definitely recommend this guitar, and frankly, any guitar Zager makes. I've had the guitar for less than a week, and I think I've already sold two more to a couple of friends.

I have to truly believe that anyone who has the funds to buy a Zager, and buys something else should have their heads examined!

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have owned numerous acoustics in the 15 or so years I have been playing. Including an Ibanez AEF18NT, Ovation celebrity custom, and a Martin. As far as the action goes my Zager blows all of them out of the water. It is reliable, it was inexpensive, and it looks great. My Martin's tone is hard to match but for the price it ought to be.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The action by far, it is amazing! It plays faster than my Schecter CSH-1 semi hollow electric. I love the fact that I can practice for hours with very little strain on my fingers without having to sacrifice tone to do so.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
At least $900!

How would you rate customer support?
50 out of 10!

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and do regularly. I love it and when I teach guitar lessons I recommend them to my students.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This guitar is great! The sound is as good or better than more expensive Martin's. It has nice electronics for this price range too! My old guitar was an Ibanez pf and this guitar makes that one sound like nails on a chalkboard.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Because it is so easy to play and sounds so good, you just want to play it all day long. Practicing has never been easier! On board tuner is great too!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
probably over $1000, but mine is one of kind ... priceless!

Yes! Sound quality, ease of play, value! Nothing bad to say about this guitar
