- Smaller “OM Size” Orchestra Model. Identical to our full size ZAD80CE, just 15% smaller.
- Similar to Martin OOO and Taylor Grand Auditorium. Narrower hour glass shape sits lower in your lap making it easier to pull in close under your arm. Thinner body provides a slightly thinner sound but doesn’t overpower mics in the recording studio.
- Venetian cutaway box design allows you to slide down low into the box for easier playability.
- Built in genuine Fishman Presys Blend transducer system allows you to plug into any amplifier or PA system and play it like a full electric guitar.
60 years of playing, performing and teaching guitar has given Denny an advantage over the majority of guitar builders today. Denny understands the demands of the professional player because he is one. He discovered there are certain key elements that make a great guitar, and with that knowledge he created the Zager ZAD80 Series. Elements like solid wood construction, high quality hardware, a custom neck design that feels good in your hand, string spacing that allows you to move faster on the fret board, that simultaneously prevents buzzes and rattles, combined with a special bracing system that produces one of the best sounds in the guitar industry today. For 2024 Denny called his good friend Bob Fishman at Fishman Electronics (considered the best guitar electronics company in the world) and ordered the Fishman Presys Blend electronics package that we’ve been using for 8 years now in our 80 Series guitars. The electronic transducer system and automatic tuner allow you to plug into any amplifier or PA system and play it like a full blown electric. The on board equalization package provides infinite sound possibilities with a built in professional grade automatic tuner that tunes your guitar in a fraction of the time it takes using conventional methods. When you’re tired of electric simply unplug and you’ll have the traditional sound of an acoustic.
Players using the ZAD80CE “OM” Size Pro Series say it matches or betters $3000 instruments, but with easier playability and a lower price since you’re buying direct from our workshop in Lincoln, Nebraska. Be sure to read artist comments and magazine reviews on the 80 as it consistently rates in the top 5% of acoustics made world wide. 100% money back guarantee including shipping fees both ways. It’s a lifetime instrument so it comes with a lifetime warranty. Truly a work of art with a stunning sound that will get better year after year.

Western Red Cedar Top The most important part of an acoustic guitar is its top. The top acts like a speaker. When a string is plucked energy is transferred to the top and the top starts to move. Cedar is softer than spruce, and that softness translates into a sense of sonic warmth. Cedar guitars sound warmer, deeper and slightly richer. Used on only the highest quality acoustics in the world.
Indian Rosewood Back-sides One of the most popular and traditional guitar woods of all time. Where mahogany lends itself to the midrange, rosewoods sonic profile is deeper in the low end. Not to take anything away from mahogany as many players will find it difficult to tell them apart, but the dedicated ear will notice a deeper, richer, sweeter tone coming from a rosewood guitar. Many players don’t know that cedar is one of the few woods that can outperform spruce when paired with rosewood which is why Denny uses a Western red cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides on his 80 series guitars. |
Mahogany Neck Mahogany—one of the most popular tone woods used on acoustic guitars for the last 50 years
Indian Rosewood Headstock Indian rosewood is commonly found on high-end guitars. This wood is heavier and more dense than mahogany and also is very stable and resonant. East Indian Rosewood is dark brown with sometimes purple-brown streaks giving a pleasant figure. The guitar head stock configuration is a registered trademark and is used under license from C.F. Martin & Co. Inc. of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA.
Zager Design (Hand Scalloped) Bracework The technique of scalloping or shaving the braces can have a huge impact on the power and tone of an acoustic guitar. By shaving or reducing the thickness of the brace, it becomes more flexible and therefore lets the top move more freely. When done by a Master Luthier the brace maintains its structural integrity, while making the top more efficient. The result is faster attack, longer sustain, more bass, more power, and an overall improvement in the whole tone system.
Full Abalone Inlay Inlay Abalone inlay is found on only the highest quality guitars. Laid by hand one piece at a time, the color and translucence of each piece changes with different amounts of light. Not only does it add to the overall look of your guitar, but it also adds to the value. Our 900 Pro Series guitars have an inlay rosette around the sound hole in combination with inlay around the entire face as well as small cross fret markers going up the fret board
Pearl Cross Fret-markers Used on only the highest quality guitars. Laid by hand on the fret board one piece at a time. It's a very tedious, time consuming process but the results are breathtaking
Zipper Stripe Back-detail Laid by hand one piece at a time. Adds to the overall beauty and sets off the color of the wood. Found on only the highest quality guitars in the world.
High Gloss Finish High-gloss finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age—which is what makes a guitar sound better year after year. A thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration and blocks aging.
Custom Adjustment Setting Truss-rod Denny designs his guitars with a truss rod adjustment setting that allows you to dial in your guitar to your particular playing style. In this way if you're a heavy handed player you can set the action higher so you can "get on it" a little for more power, and if you're lighter handed touch player you can dial in the action low so you can move faster and play longer with less fatigue.
Genuine Fishman Built-in-transducer Fishman transducers are the highest quality transducers used in acoustic guitars today. A transducer is an amplification device placed under the saddle which allows you to plug into an amplifier and play an acoustic guitar like an electric guitar. This is all run by an on-board electronics package and equalizer that allows you to control the sound. A transducer properly installed by a pro luthier will bring out the bass response and rich ambiance of your guitar's wood. Done improperly your guitar will sound flat and have uneven tone quality.
Genuine Fishman Built-in-automatic-tuner Ask any pro who makes the finest guitar electronics systems in the world and 9 out of 10 will say Fishman. An electronic tuner allows you to tune your guitar in a fraction of the time it takes using conventional tuning methods. Simply hit a string and the LCD indicator guides you into perfect pitch. A red and green light instantly lets you know when the tune is dead on. This is a very important tool for the new player who is trying to develop and train their ear for perfect pitch. It's also helps the professional player who wants to get in perfect tune fas
Genuine Fishman Built-in-equalizer Fishman equalizers are the highest quality equalizers used in acoustic guitars today. The equalizer is an electronic unit that controls the sound and volume when plugged into an amplifier or PA system. There are adjustments for highs, mids, lows, and presence. Fishman EQ's are used exclusively on high end acoustics by artists such as Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Alan Jackson and Aerosmith to name just a few.
Genuine Grover (gold) Tuning-machines Genuine Grover sealed tuning machines are found on only the finest guitars made. Look at tuners on $2500+ acoustics and you will see the majority have "Grovers." Unlike open gear tuners where the tuning mechanism is exposed, Grover sealed tuners contain a lubricant that keep the tuning mechanism sealed air-tight so the gears turn smooth and continue to for the life of your instrument. Lifetime warranty. If you have a tuner go bad we'll replace it free of charge for life.
Bone Hand Carved Nut Denny hand carves his nuts from bone for each guitar so the strings are set lower with custom spacing. Lower string heights make it easier to press down to form chords and it also increases finger speed. Custom spacing allows you to move faster with less buzzes, mutes, and rattles because you’re no longer bumping adjacent strings. Custom string spacing makes it easier for all hands sizes big and small. Lifetime warranty. Break a nut and we'll replace it free of charge for life
Tusq Hand Carved Saddle Denny hand carves each saddle for each individual guitar. Denny also adjusts the intonation settings to bring the guitar harmonically in balance with itself. This not only makes your guitar easier to play, but it also makes it sound more powerful. Customers say our guitars fall into tune easier and stay in tune longer...this is one of the reasons why. Denny uses only genuine "Tusq" brand saddles on his guitars which you generally only find on higher dollar acoustics . Lifetime warranty. Break a saddle and we'll replace it free of charge for life.
Zager Custom Lights Strings Zager custom strings are designed by Denny exclusively for his Guitars. We have customers using all brands and gauges of strings on our guitars with excellent results (Elixir, Martin, Fender, Gibson, D'addario) but these are the strings our customers seem to like the most on our guitars. Hand wound daily in our shop in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Zager Soft Touch (Hand Filed) Frets Denny hand files each fret one at a time on every guitar that leaves our shop. By filing the frets Denny achieves two important things. When sliding up and down the neck your fingers will no longer get irritated and sore and you won't suffer from what we call "String Bite" and overall finger fatigue. Secondly, when you file the frets by hand each fret will have the same uniform height. 9 times out of 10 when you have a buzzing string it has nothing to with your playing, it’s because you have a guitar with a fret that’s sitting away from the fret board hitting a string.
Lifetime Warranty Our warranty is simple. Lifetime on all guitars. A quality guitar should be made to last a lifetime and if it doesn't it wasn't a quality guitar to begin with. |

I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years now. In that time I've owned many different brands. Martin, Gibson, Fender, Seagull, Epiphone, Alvarez, Ibanez, Washburn, Cordoba, Squier, Takamine, etc... My Zager Zad900CE is by far the best sounding, playing guitar I've ever owned. The craftsmanship and fine detail that Denny Zager puts into his guitars is exquisite. Looks like a fine piece of art.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$4500+
How would you rate customer support?
2nd to none. Best customer service I ever knew.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and I have. The ZAD900CE easily competes with some of the best and most expensive guitars there are at a fraction of their price.
Additional comments:
If you're planning to spend a lot of money on a higher-end Martin, Taylor or Gibson I recommend trying a Zager ZAD 900CE first. This is a fantastic guitar not to mention customer service that is 2nd to none. Comes with a lifetime warranty and there's absolutely no risk to try one. If you decide for whatever reason you are not satisfied Zager pays shipping both ways.

In my almost 40 years of playing guitar I've owned quite a few. Every brand from Martin, Gibson, Fender, Alvarez, Cordoba, Squier, Ibanez, Alvarez, Sigma, Washburn, Epiphone, Seagull, etc... No guitar I've owned or played can touch my ZAD900CE. The reviews and advertisements for Zager Guitars are all true. You can believe it or not. All I can say is if you're planning on spending $3000+ or more on a guitar try a Zager first. There's nothing to lose as they will pay shipping and insurance both ways if you are not satisfied. Best customer service I've ever come across.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's hard to pick a favorite. I love everything about this guitar but if I had to choose I guess I'd say the sound. Unplugged and plugged in. The Fishman Aura System on this guitar is amazing. It reproduces the natural sound beautifully.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Easily $4500-$5500. Just the looks and appearance alone compares to guitars that cost that much. The beautiful solid Spruce top with rosewood back and sides, the abalone inlay, the hand bent maple binding, mother of pearl, etc... Gorgeous.
How would you rate customer support?
Dennis, Jr. provided me with the best customer service I've ever experienced. He was very professional in his approach and answered every email (and I sent a myriad of emails to him with my questions) usually within 10-15 minutes of contacting him. Not only that but I ordered the standard wooden hard shell case and was pleasantly surprised to find that he upgraded me to the higher end case for free. Threw in a very nice Zager capo, extra strings, picks and of course the Zager T-Shirt! Zager's record with the BBB, a long with thousands of satisfied, happy customers speaks for itself. I will definitely be buying more guitars from the Zager family. I already have my sights set on the ZAD80CE.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and already have without question. This is a very well crafted, beautiful looking guitar that plays like the ads say. My friend owns a nice Taylor which is a very fine guitar. He loved my Zager and couldn't believe how well it played and sounded.

It is a very attractive instrument, and obviously very well-made. Since it is a solid mahogany guitar, it is resonant and has good sustain, given its smaller size.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Very pleased about the sound that comes from this 3/4 size instrument. My other 2 guiitars are dreadnoughts, and the purpose in selecting this one was to be small enough to take on trips. This fits the bill, without the tinny sound from other "travel-size guitars that I tried.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$600-$700
How would you rate customer support?
Excellent, very responsive. Quick replies to even to my simplest questions.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Definitely! It is easier to play, as advertised. I am only a beginner, but our musical family has several (four, to be exact) experienced players, and they are all impressed with the quality of craftsmanship and playability. We regularly have family gatherings, and most times we share music. The Zager is one of the first guitars grabbed when we bring out the instruments!

There is no comparison with the guitars I've owned. This new ZAD50CE sounds fantastic, brand new, right out of the box. I'm impressed with the the tone, especially the deep, rich bass. I didn't expect that from a cut away. If it sounds this good brand new, I'm excited to hear it as it ages.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The tone, low string height, comfort of the neck, beautiful looks and craftsmanship, over all playability. It's everything it's advertised to be.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$1800 - $2000.00
How would you rate customer support?
10 + out of ten. I always received a response from Dennis within 50 minutes of sending an e-mail. Denny Zager's company is first class all the way, from his product to the employees.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes absolutely. I don't think you're going to beat the quality at the price they sell them for. They also back all there guitars with a 100% guarantee.
Additional comments:
Denny and his son run their company the right way. They have an outstanding product at a great price, with customer service that is second to none. How can you beat that??

Overall quality is a cut above
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The quality of this guitar makes choosing a favorite part of the guitar itself but what most stands out is the quality of the support both before and after the sale
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I personally do not know enough about acoustic guitars to estimate prices but for the quality I consider the price I paid to be very fair.
How would you rate customer support?
I do not believe that there is another guitar company that can even come close to the quality of the customer support both before and after the sale. How many name brand guitars can you pick up the phone and immediate support or email and always get a response within 24 hours even on Saturday or Sunday. I do not think that you will find another company that will come even close.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely because of the customer support alone would be enough to justify recommending these guitars then once the quality comes into play I do not believe that it would be possible to find a better choice.
Additional comments:
The quality and price of these guitars is exceptional that plus the level of support a person could not ask for a better combination

I currently have and have had many guitars in the past and I have never seen a guitar as beautiful and well made as the Zager ZAD900CE especially as inexpensive as it was. Guitars two or three times the cost pale in comparison. The playability is incredible. This is the best setup guitar I have ever experienced.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
When I first received this guitar in the mail, I excitedly opened up the box and pulled out the nicely cased guitar. After looking through all of the extras that came with the guitar, I finally opened the case to see a work of art. My jaw literaly dropped open and then a big smile came across my face. After admiring the workmanship and quality woods that were used, I finaly got ready to play it. Being delivered during winter on a UPS truck, I was all ready to tune it up first. To my utter suprise it was in perfect tune. I played it for quite a whlie before I could force my self to put it down. I have been playing the guitar for weeks and it hasn't gone out of tune yet. I have never seen a guitar with such perfect setup to stay in tune so long. The tonation is spot on no matter where I go on the neck. Granted I don't thrash the guitar when I play. I'm a soft methodic strummer and picker as Dennis stresses in his videos. I could realy go on for hours how unique this guitar experience is. It's safe to say that I don't beleive I will ever come across a finer guitar than my Zager ZAD900CE in my life time.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would have extimated $5000 or more.
How would you rate customer support?
Customer service at Zager Custome Guitars couldn't be better. Quaestions are answered quickly and Denny is always available when I go online. They're the best.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and have raved about this guitar to many and will continue to. Everyone that picks it up is amazed at the sound, quality of the woods and playability.

It plays much easier and sounds better than my Yamaha. The only thing my old guitar has over the Zager is age (30+ years), and I am sure my Zager will also sound better with age.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
How much easier it is to play. But I also like how it sounds. And how it looks. It's just an overall beautiful guitar. Oh, and all the freebies and upgrades were also great! Thanks Dennis!
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Over $1000.00, easily.
How would you rate customer support?
Top notch. Need I say more?
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would absolutely recommend this guitar (or any other Zager models) to anyone like me that has arthritis in their hands, making it harder and less enjoyable to play. Or anyone who just wants an overall great guitar experience.
Additional comments:
My guitar arrived last night. I followed the instructions and let it sit at room temperature for 2 hours before opening it (longest 2 hours of my life). I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was mostly still in tune despite the fact that it had sat in a cold delivery truck for who knows how long (most of the day I am guessing) and just needed some minor adjustments. Since it was late and I had to get up the next morning for work, I had planned to just play it for a few minutes then go to bed. I ended up playing it for over an hour and had to force myself to put it up and go to bed. I must say that this guitar lives up to all expectations. Not only is it the easiest guitar I have ever played, it has the most beautiful tone that I know will only improve with age. With my hands starting to develop arthritis I have been frustrated with my playing. I almost never got my guitar out anymore, and when I did, I would usually put it up after 50 - 30 minutes in frustration. It hurt to play and I found myself muting strings that I never used to. Barre chords were especially difficult for me. I can honestly say that I had no problems with muting strings and even barre chords were a breeze. I could have played far longer than I did last night with little discomfort. Thanks to this guitar, I am actually enjoying playing again! This evening I got out my Fender Passport and plugged in. I was anxious to hear how the electronics sound. I have to say it sounds just as good plugged in as it does standalone. I love the built-in tuner! Thanks to you and your dad for making playing guitar fun again!

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The sound, it jumps out of the guitar.

I really have nothing to compare it to. The sound is so rich I would expect to cost at least twice what I paid.

Additional comments:
It has been forty years since I last played and if anything this Zager has made it as easy as I could expect. There is a big learning curve for me right now, but the guitar is so much fun to play and the low tension on the strings make it easier on my fingers that I am excited to sit down each day and practice.

It is much smaller than the full size Jasmine accoustic I had, but I wanted a smaller guitar. And, what is so pleasing, although smaller, it has a wonderful full deep sound. It truly is amazing for a smaller guitar.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
There's so much! Besides it's smaller size, it's beautiful, plays so easy and sounds great. I guess it's just perfect for me, that's the best part.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I never owned a very expensive guitar before, but after checking online what quality guitars can cost, the Zager was a terrific deal. It is such a prize to own.
How would you rate customer support?
So far it has been exceptional. Any questions I have are answered quickly and additional advice is always given as well.

Yes I would. Especially, if the individuals were petite as I am. It makes all the difference in the world to play a guitar that feels comfortable and is sized right for you. It makes you want to play it more and practice. You're really enjoying the experience so much more.
Additional comments:
I'm so glad I found out about Zager guitars and I think it's neat to own a guitar that was made by Denny Zager, who was part of the duo known for the song "In the Year 2525." I remember loving to listen to that song when I was a teen.

My Zager is the ZAD50EVS model. As seen in the picture, it is a cutaway model and not the same body style shown on their website. The quality of my guitar is top-notch. I have been playing for 50 years, and have owned many acoustics including Yamahas, Guilds, Taylors, Alvarez, Ibanez and recently a Martin. The build quality and the electronics compare very favorably with any of them. I have recommended Zager to my friends.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Aside from its playability, the beauty of the finish is awesome. I've always loved a sunburst finish, and this one is gorgeous.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
If this guitar were sold retail in a brick and mortar outlet, it would likely be priced in the $700 - $900 range. That includes a professional-quality, padded, hard shell case.
How would you rate customer support?
I've never had better anywhere. My emails are answered in an hour or less. All of my questions are thoroughly answered.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I have recommended it to others. I liked the idea of finding a quality guitar that is not one of the same old brand names that everyone owns. That makes the guitar special. Zager's return guarantee cinched the deal for me.

My order was upgraded with no additional cost. The body style I wanted was not available, so I had to wait a little longer, and eventually got the cutaway dreadnaught instead, with better electronics, and the more expensive case. Worth the wait!

I have an older Guild and a Taylor mini, I wanted something smaller to travel with, as well as a smaller guitar that would be easier to handle.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Outstanding details, high gloss; abalone inlay; nice mahogany ; quality high-end hardware; but best of all, the bright tone. And did I mention The high quality case that it came in (a case that Martin guitars uses).
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Although this is quite an inexpensive guitar, it is not a cheap guitar by any means. A cheap guitar lacking sound quality and craftsmanship would cost you the $300 and sum dollars that I had paid for this guitar. This should be at least an $800 guitar, especially since it is not marked "made in China" and is hand crafted in America!

How would you rate customer support?
Instant contact and communication (you will note that on their website, a window pops up telling you that "Dennis is in" if you want to have "live chat" about any questions that you might have.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Highly recommend, five star!!! There is no better guitar on the market, especially for the price. Again, it is not only the quality and craftsmanship that is offered, but the crisp clean tone that this little baby produces!

I purchased a Fender Jimmy Dale Kingman SCE earlier this year. I was extremely disappointed in the workmanship, quality and sound. I ended replacing the nut, saddle, pins with TUSQ and put on Martin Silk and Steel strings to help improve the sound (which I did based upon Denny Zager's recommendation). Prior to purchasing, I looked at Tanglewood, Martin and Taylor guitars at my local guitar store. I purchased the ZAD50CEOM and couldn't be happier with the rich sound, quality and craftsmanship.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I have short fingers and large palms, which is a bad combination for a guitar player. I selected the orchestra size based upon Denny's recommendation and I could not be happier. The guitar simply "fits" in my hand. I love the sound, the beautiful wood tone and the inlay on the neck. I am looking forward to many years of playing and my next Zager purchase!
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$1500
How would you rate customer support?
Denny Zager has strong customer focused philosophy and practice. If all American companies embodied their commitment, communication and ethic, we would not have an economic crisis. Prior to my purchase, I had emailed Denny Zager to ask a few questions and to get recommendations, fully expecting an email back in a week or two. Imagine my surprise to get a response back within minutes! We communicated a number of times prior to my purchase. I have a strong feeling of trust with Zager. I hope to be able to meet them one day. Thank you for the excellent communication. At the risk of sounding corny, Zager treats customers like family.

I purchased the ZAD50E - Sunburst and it is everything and more than Dennis and Denny talk about in their online videos. I own several acoustic and electric guitars - Primarily been a Fender owner - This is the best acoustic guitar in my collection.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The playability & sound is the best in my collection - Frankly this guitar is a piece of art both visual & sound!
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
If I would have picked this guitar up in the music store and began playing - I would have guess the price tag be anywhere from $1,500-$2,000. It most definitely compares to Martin Acoustic Guitars without question!
How would you rate customer support?
The customer service is top notch! I spent over a week emailing Dennis Zager, Jr. with questions/concerns and each email was returned within an hour at most - Most of the time he responded within minutes - It was better customer service than if I where in a music store face to face with a sales associate. The guitar was shipped within a day of purchase and received within a few days - It was packaged exactly as demonstrated in the online video - Clearly with the up most care in mind.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would absolutely recommend Zager Guitars! As a matter of fact I have already passed your website and contact information along to several of my musician friends - Purchasing this guitar was an absolute pleasure. Denny and Dennis ... You should be very proud of your work and the business you have built. Keep up the great work! You have a customer for life here!!
Additional comments:
If you are considering a Zager Guitar and you are hesitant because you are purchasing sight unseen or because it's an online only buy - DON'T BE! You will not be disappointed. Guaranteed! I normally don't provide feedback but; in this case I felt it important to do so - Denny and Dennis deserve credit for great customer service and the beautiful guitar's they build - Thank you again guys!

I'm not a 'wood-sniffer.' If a 'less expensive' guitar meets my needs and wants, why buy a piece of overpriced wood because it has "Martin" on it? I do have a 1975 Gibson J-55 which is my favorite guitar in all ways. But in the stores, I can't tell a PRS from a Luna from a Martin. I doubt 99% of people out there can.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's warmth. I had never played a cedar top guitar. The tones are magical. At first I didn't like it; it seemed a little heavy and dull. But as I played into it and it acclimatized, it sounded beautiful. I've already been offered money and a trade, which I won't take.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I think I said before 1000 to 1200. I underestimated that. My friends who've (I've allowed...) to play it all price it in the $2000 area because of the detail. I covered the logo and most thought it a Martin D-35.
How would you rate customer support?
Real good. I recall you had some difficulties while I was trying to resolve a thing over a case. You kindly took your time to resolve it. Thank you.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely. Best bang for your buck if you want a beautiful, great sounding guitar at a reasonable price. DON'T LET THE "WOOD-SNIFFERS" in the music stores influence you. Or your friend who just spent a fortune on a Martin and of COURSE thinks it's the 'greatest sounding guitar on the planet.' Yes, tone woods matter on acoustic guitars. But these are very nicely built with quality woods! They just won't bump the price $5000 because of hype and advertising.
Additional comments:
I waited a while to post another review. After I 'played in' the guitar, I find it's my "go-to" now. Sounds great, looks great, and the damn thing is ALWAYS in tune when I take it out of the case! Thanks guys. regards to Denny Sr. and the rest.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Playability - I have always fought to play - now I am Learning to play. I feel like the doors have been thrown wide open to the world of guitar playing. I know I will achieve my playing goals now!
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I have been checking out Gibson, Fender, Taylor, and Martin in the music shops. I decided to bite the bullet and get one in the $800 to $1,200 range. I probably would have passed by this guitar if I had saw it in the shop. I would have thought it was WAY out of my price range.
How would you rate customer support?
Top notch. Received answers to my questions fast and reliable.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes...beginners need a guitar that allows them to play longer with less fatigue. Pros and advanced players need a guitar they can call their own and brag about. I feel these guitars run that gambit. Hats off the the Zagers!

I have a really nice 25th aniversary Alvares that I have enjoyed for years. I'm amazed how much better my Zager sounds.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The width of the neck (I have big fingers) and the fact that I don't have to press the string as hard to make clear notes.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Oh yes. This guitar compares to the finest Martin, Gibson or Takemine I've ever held, at half the price.
Additional comments:
I'd never held a Zager guitar and had been wanting a new guitar for years now. I can't believe I bought one without actually holding one first...I'm so glad I did.
